On the 7th of August 2022, the inaugural Talking Prisoner event was hosted in Richmond, Melbourne, at the Harlow Pub and Bar.

The idea for this event sprang unexpectedly from a suggestion by Maxine Klibingaitis, a dear friend and star of the hit TV show "Prisoner," who portrayed Bobbie Mitchell. Although initially, our focus was purely on our podcast and YouTube channel, Maxine’s proposal opened up a new avenue for engaging with fans directly.

I approached this event with a simple philosophy: create an experience I would enjoy as a fan. This vision shaped an intimate gathering that felt less like a structured event and more like a fun afternoon among friends. We aimed to craft a space where fans weren't just attendees but participants who could engage meaningfully with the cast.

The event was a resounding success, marked by laughter, shared stories, and new friendships. We limited attendance to 50 to maintain a cozy, personal atmosphere, ensuring every fan could interact with the cast without feeling rushed or overlooked.

The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, affirming our approach to making this an event "by the fans, for the fans." It was a testament to the vibrant community that has grown around our show and the enduring legacy of "Prisoner."
