Louise Le Nay is an Australian actress and writer, recognized for her roles as Sandy Edwards in "Prisoner" (1981–82) and Stella Stinson, Kim's adoptive mother, in "Lift Off" (1992–95). Her novel "The Hero" was published in 1996.

Le Nay's portrayal of Sandy Edwards in "Prisoner" spanned the end of 1981 and the beginning of 1982. In the series, Sandy became Top Dog while Bea Smith was in the hospital, making her a popular and pivotal character.

Sandy Edwards was a confident gangster's girlfriend serving a 22-year sentence for murder at Wentworth Detention Centre. She later vanishes under mysterious circumstances, and it is eventually uncovered that Kate Peterson was responsible for her disappearance.

Le Nay's novel "The Hero" was released in 1996 by Allen & Unwin. She later transitioned to television writing, contributing scripts and working her way up from a storyliner to a script editor for the hit series "Neighbours" during its peak ratings period, which included the storyline of Karl Kennedy's affair with his receptionist. She also served as a script editor for "Blue Heelers" and "MDA."
